How do i feed my neopet? |
| As well as the official shops, many owners have set up their own stores specialising in different products. You can find a wide selection of stores in the MarketPlace. If you know what you are looking for you can type in the name of the item and the Shop Wizard will find you the best prices:) |
Once you have the food feeding is easy. Simply go to 'Shops', then click on 'Your Items'.
Click on the item you want to feed to your NeoPet. A small window will open up, select which
NeoPet you want to feed the item to and press 'OK'.
Can NeoPets breed? How does my NeoPet gain levels? How does my NeoPet gain abilities?
If you can find a Bottled Faerie and release it, they will normally bless your NeoPet as a reward for your
kindness.
Can NeoPets fight? What is my active pet, and how can I change it? Can I change my Neopet's gender? Can NeoPets die? You can view your NeoPets stats at anytime by going to the
Quick Ref
page. You can get to this page by
clicking on 'Pet Central' and then 'Quick Ref', or by clicking on your NeoPet's name in the yellow side bar.
How do you turn your NeoPet into a robot? How do I find out when my NeoPet's special day is? How do I create my own shop?
If you can't remember what the item was, or you want to stop doing the quest, go to
the Quests page.
(Click on World and then Quests) Here the
faerie will tell you what she is looking for and you can refuse the quest if you wish.
Once you give her the item, or refuse the quest you will be able to use the Shop Wizard
again.
How do I find my shop?
Sadly not everyone can afford to buy their pets full priced goods, if you are low on
NeoPoints you can always take your NeoPets to the
Soup Kitchen. Here the kind Soup
Faerie will give your pets a delicious broth to fill them up:) Another good place to look
for food is the Money Tree.
This is where the richer Neopians donate food and other
items to the needy.
In your imagination, yes NeoPets can breed. On the site your NeoPet will not have babies, or anything like that.
Can NeoPets marry/date?
Your pet cannot marry or have any other relationship with other pets. This may be added in t he future, but at the moment you can search for other owners with pets that you think your pet would like.
Your pet can gain levels randomly as you travel around the site. These will appear as random
events, although they are very rare. Instead, you can enrol your NeoPet on a course at the
Training School on Mystery Island.
Here your pet can learn a whole range of things such as endurance, agility and even gain levels.

In order for your pet to gain an ability, they need to be bless by a faerie. Occasionally a Faerie will
visit your pet and give them a special skill to use in the Battledome. This ability depends on what level your
NeoPet is, and if they have learnt any previous abilities.
You can buy Faeries at the Magic Shop or at the peoples shops on the market place.
Yes, if you want to test your NeoPets strength in battle, you can visit the
Neopian Battledome.
You can find this by clicking on 'Games' and then 'Battledome'. Or by clicking on the little pic next to the market place in the above menu you get at for instance you items. Here you can battle other
player's pets, as well as a whole host of single player opponents such as the Snowager and
the Pant Devil.
Your active pet is the one you are currently playing with. This is the one whose name appears
in the yellow side bar. To change your active pet, got to
Quick Ref. (Click on your pet's
name in the yellow side bar) Your inactive pets will be slightly faded. If you only have one
Neopet, it will always be your active pet. If you have more than one and wish to change your
active NeoPet, simply click on the pet you want to become the new active pet.
Yes, you can change the gender of your NeoPet. You can try zapping your NeoPet with the lab ray,
although the results are not guaranteed, it could just as easily change your pets species. Alternatively
there is a magical potion that will change your NeoPet's gender. You can try to get your hands on this
'Strange Potion' in the shops.
No, NeoPets do not die. If you do not look after your NeoPet and don't feed it, it will get very hungry and be dying. It won't actually die though and you can nurse it back to full health with enough attention.
How do you know how strong, fast or healthy your NeoPet is?
This is one of the side effects of the lab ray. The only way you can turn your NeoPet into a robot is by zapping it with the lab ray. Remember, anything can happen, your NeoPets won't necessarily turn into a robot. To get to the labratory you have to compleet all nine pieces of the labratory map, you can find these at random on the floor or through the market place in peoples shops.
All NeoPets have a special day of the year. On that day there will be lots of special items and events just for their particular species. To find out when your NeoPets special day is go to 'World' and then click on 'Calendar'. This is in the toolbar at the top.
What are Hit Points?Hit Points are a measurement of how much life your NeoPet has. If your Hit Points show 8/14 it means your NeoPet has 8 out of a possible 14 points of life. When your NeoPet reaches 0 Hit Points it can no longer fight in the Battledome and needs to be nursed back to health.
My NeoPet is bloated and it won't take the Flat-u-less pills, what do I do?
If your NeoPet says it is bloated, this doesn't mean it is ill. It just means it has eaten a little too much. Don't feed it for a day or two and it will get better on its own.
Why do I sometimes see my pet floating on her pet description?
It's just a random event. Sometimes when you look up a pet you will see smaller versions of that NeoPet floating around your screen. It doesn't mean anything, it's just for fun.
Are special battle items such as the gelert helm only usable by that species?
Yes, items such as the Gelert Helm and Nimmo Power Staff are only usable by that particular species of Neopet.
My pet is a mutant, how do I get my old pet back?
If you transmogrified your NeoPet (turned it into a Mutant), you most probably gave it a foul smelling potion. The only way you can change your NeoPet back is to give it another potion. For example if you had a Red Kiko and it was turned into a Mutant, you need to find a Red Kiko Morphing Potion to restore your NeoPet.

To create your own shop, click on 'Shops' (in the yellow side bar). Then click on Your Shop (this is the shop shape in the toolbar, it is next to your items). You can create your own shop by clicking on 'Create/edit' shop.
How do I stock my shop?
To put items into your shop, you need to buy the items from an official store or another person's shop. Then go to your items, click on the item, and select 'Put into my shop'. To make an item go on sale in your shop, you need to go back to 'Your Shop' and enter a price for each item.
ITEMS WILL NOT APPEAR IN YOUR SHOP UNLESS YOU DO THIS!
My shop is full, yet I cannot see any items when I go to my Shop Front, why?
You need to enter the price you want people to pay for your items before they will go on sale. Click on 'Stock' and enter prices for your items. They will now be displayed when people go to your shop.
When people buy from my shop, why don't I get the NeoPoints?
When someone purchases something from your shop, all your earnings go into your shop till.
You can withdraw money from your shop till by clicking on your
Sales History. Here it will
show you all recent sales and tell you how much you have in your till. Type in the amount
you wish to withdraw and your account will be credited immediately.
How do I buy an item from someone elses shop?
Once you have entered another person's shop, you will see a list of all the items they have up for sale. The price they want for each item is shown under the picture. When you want to buy something, click on the item you want to purchase.
A little window will pop up checking that you did click on the correct item and that you are willing to pay that amount. It will say something along the lines of :
Are you sure you wish to buy Peach Snowball for 500NP?
If that is the item you wanted to buy and its the price you are willing to pay, click 'OK'. If you clicked on the item by mistake, click 'Cancel'. If you press OK the shop will refresh, the item will now be removed from the shop, the Neopoints will be deducted from your account, and the item will be placed in Your Items. You can either carry on shopping, or go to another part of the site.
When is Half Price Day?
To celebrate the third day in every month, the Neopian shops have a half price sale. Put it in your calendar so you don't miss out :)
Why does a Faerie tell me I can't use the Shop Wizard ?
If you get a message from a Faerie whenever you try to use the Shop Wizard, this means
you are on a quest. The Faerie wants you to get something for her and using the Shop
Wizard would make it too easy.
The marketplace displays the largest shop first. When you first create a shop, it will not appear here. The fastest way for you to see your shop is to go to 'Shops' and click on 'Your Shop' (this is the small brown building to the left of the toolbar). Other people can find your shop by searching for an item you have stocked in your shop via the Shop Wizard.
